Collective action to show that propaganda and culture should have nothing in common.
Bring one object with you and contribute to a public installation spontaneously created in front of the Institute. Might be one of the last times we are allowed to express freely.
The Emergency Decree no. 27/13.06.2012 states that the main reason for its urgency is that the RCI "affected through its programmes the feeling of national identity in a globalization context" and it is of paramount importance that the Romanian diaspora regains its national spirit. This implies that the RCI will promote art made by Romanians for Romanians ONLY.
Over the past few years the Romanian Cultural Institute has been successful in bringing Romanian arts and culture into the international public eye.

This will exclude a significant international public from accessing, understanding and engaging with Romanian art. Furthermore, this limits the visibility of Romanian artists abroad, suppressing cultural exchange, encouraging enclaves based on nationality and promoting nationalistic values - all of which work against fundamental principles of the E.U.
